Nick Liu – SSP 2018 NMT

Today marks one week left of SSP… and the lasts are beginning to accumulate. We’ve had our last field trip, last guest speaker, last handout, and last observation, and soon we will write our last code and turn in our last assignment. In the beginning, we were told that time would fly, and only now have I begun to realize it. As the end approaches I’m filled with both an anxiousness for the work to end but also a sadness that this chapter of my life is coming to a close. Although it’s hard to reflect on my experiences as I’m working nonstop and living in the now, I anticipate that once I get on the plane to go home I’ll wish I’d made more of each moment. But now is not the time to think about the ways I’ll regret things as I usually do—I have an OD code to do.
